Friday Finds and Such

Friday Finds for under 20 dollars

I've always wanted to have my vintage set of mismatched tea cups and dessert plates. I've seen a couple of Kate Spade dessert plates at Dillards that has some cute details but are melamine ( heavy weight plastic ) and I'm looking for porcelain for durability and aesthetic.

As my daily routine after getting coffee at Espresso To Go Go, I walked to my local antique shop A Legacy Antiques to do my cardio (window shopping is cardio). I found a couple of dessert plates for 3 dollars each and was so glad I didn't get the melamine Kate Spade plates at Dillards.

Since they were not a set I looked online for something that is similar. I found a small plate on sale at H&M and bought a couple to complete my dessert plate set. All I need now is a vintage porcelain cake stand and cake cutter! Yay!

I also found some cute pillows for our couch that are 10 dollars and some guest hand towels for when we're entertaining at home.

I still have to find some porcelain tea cup set with matching tea pot and teaspoon before I can host my afternoon tea party and wine party. Speaking of wine, if you are more of a dessert wine drinker like me, you might want to try this Roscato/ Sweet Red Wine

Roscato is an irresistible, delicately sweet, gently fizzy red wine from the northern Italian region of Lombardy. Made from three native grape varieties grown in this beautiful region for centuries – Croatina, Teroldego and Lagrein – Roscato makes a wonderful aperitif and is also incredibly food-friendly. This is my Go To Wine for a Wine Party or a House Warming Gift since it is very light and fruity and all the girls love it!

If you are from Wichita Kansas I suggest visiting Beyond Napa at North Mead in Old Town Square right across Warren Theater. They have quite a collection of wine and beer. I am not much of a beer drinker but I love the Peach Belgian Beer/ Lambic because it's sweet and tastes like a dessert wine. I found a 50 Shades of Grey Red Wine in their shelf in my last visit.
