The Posh Way To Shop Without Breaking the Bank

Let's be realistic as much as we want to own a pair of Marc Jacobs mouse flats some of us can't really fit that in our budget. I am fortunate enough to have an amazing boyfriend that enables my shopping addiction but I don't feel that I deserve a 300 dollars shoes just for making him occasional dinner. But fortunately for us, we have Poshmark!

Poshmark is an app where you can buy and sell fashion for almost 70 to 80% off compared to normal retail price. Some poshers are selling brand new designer items that are still new with tags and still in it's box. It could have been buyers remorse, an impulse purchase, a gift or simply just didn't fit the seller. It really doesn't matter because one lady's junk can be my new favorite treasure. I have spent about 150 dollars on makeup (Stila, Smashbox, and a Limited Edition Archie MAC blusher) bag (Banana Taipei) flats (J.Crew ballerina rain flats) sandals (Prabal Gurung for Target) sunnies (Ted Baker) a cute ring (Ted Baker) and a couple of shirts. That's a whole lot of designers for that price!

Here are the PRO's and CON's of Poshmark. Pro's: Really low discounted price for designer makeup, bags, shoes, clothes, accessories. Everything from cellphones to Ipads to back up chargers can be sold and bought at this app. If you want a new market for your business this might be your solution. Shipping is done thru the company, if you are selling an item and it got sold Poshmark will email you the shipping labels. It's easy and it's fun. And now for the CON's : Some sellers are selling fake items so before you buy a Chanel purse always ask for the serial tag and have it authenticated. Shipping can be overly expensive! So you found that coach clutch for 15 dollars, and it's definitely a steal! But check out the shipping cost for anything below 25 dollars, it will cost you 6.99 per order. So to avoid that, look at the sellers closet and check for other items that you might be interested in, maybe get an accessory to match that new clutch then ask the seller to bundle the item for 25 dollars flat and it will only cost you 4.99 to ship. Now here's something I love about the Poshmark group itself, if you order enough items like I do they will give you a flat rate of 4.99 for shipping for a month as a Thank you. Not bad right?!
