Pay It Forward and Coffee Talk

On the occasion that I wake up before my local coffee shop closes its doors I would get up and get myself a cup of joe. I have been frequenting Espresso To Go Go on East Douglas and St. Francis ever since we moved to downtown Wichita.

Support Local Business

I've always supported the local business in my area. It doesn't matter where my feet takes me, or what city I will eventually end up in. That city will always have my support. When I moved to Kansas it took me a good year to see what it has to offer. One of my favorite spot is Espresso To Go Go, they have a simple menu, their coffee is consistently great and it's a party everyday, every hour because of it's disco ball slash chandelier. I always order my go to coffee : Vietnamericano Iced and on days that I want something different they always have a new smoothie concoction to offer between 3 to 5 in the afternoon. They have celebrated their first year in their downtown location last week (YAY! Congratulations!). Locals love this place because of the owners and the baristas. You will not get your usual corporate Starbucks service at this location, they always have a friendly face to greet you and for someone that is new to the city it makes you feel at home.

Pay It Forward

To cure my hangover from martini night last night at Mort's Martini Bar I got up and got myself my usual iced coffee. When I was pulling out my cash my barista told me that my coffee was free and handed me this card.

One Spark Can Start A Fire

The back of this card is a challenge to do one act of kindness once a week for 52 weeks. The website gave me more information on the purpose for this "campaign". If you're curious here's the website link : 1spark

This is from their Website

Have You Received This Card?

If you have then you have been fortunate enough to receive a "Spark," a random act of kindness from a stranger, and have been challenged to pass it on... not just once, but once a week for an entire year!

This site is being designed as a resource to give you ideas about different ways you can "Pay it Forward", and soon you will be able to record and share your sparks with other visitors to this site, inspiring them to do bigger and better things.

As the card reads, "One Spark Can Start a Fire" and together that fire can ignite and change the world!

I found this list online and would probably do most of them except donate blood. You see I am a chicken in every sense when it comes to needles and blood so I'll be skipping that one and do something else.
